- Instead of asking “what do I want to do” in life or with a career, instead ask “who do I want to be”. Then go seek out that person or people, learn about the history of their lives. And repeat the lessons. History is the closest thing you’ll get to a career playbook
- Put a spare toothbrush and deodorant in your backpack, you’d be surprised how often it comes in handy
- Take flights early in the morning. After traveling, always leave one day to relax at home rather than one extra day of vacation
- If you’ve lost something (keys or remote etc.) make a mental list of the areas you’ve already checked as to not repeat searching in those locations. I can’t tell you the countless hours wasted quadruple checking the same drawer and still not finding the item. Insanity at its finest!
- Always bring a swimsuit with you when you travel
- Always bring running shoes when you travel. Running is a great way to get exercise in and also get your bearings in a city
